One stage = 8 terms; one term = one finished project
Each stage runs across 8 terms, and every term ends in one finished project. Classes are once a week for 2 hours, with up to 4 children per class. Every term, children show what they made at a “demo day.”
Once a week · 2 hours
Steady but never overwhelming — a weekly rhythm of building and presenting.
Up to 4 children
A small group, so there’s enough room to speak in English and to get help when stuck.
A result + a talk each term
Every term, children present what they made at a “demo day.”
Most start by age — but the right answer is different for every child
A 4th-grader new to coding, a 2nd-grader who has already tried Scratch — a short chat helps us find the right starting point.
Find my child’s right stageWe handle AI differently at each stage
At Makerlab we handle AI differently at each stage. When children are young we don’t use AI at all, so they build the strength to make things themselves; as they grow, we allow AI as a tool only once they can read, explain and check the code AI produces. They learn digital citizenship and privacy along the way.
Makerlab is an applied AI & engineering program built on “make it yourself, explain it in English.” We do not guarantee exam or competition results, and for olympiad-style contests (e.g. the Informatics Olympiad) we recommend pairing with a specialist academy.
Where should my child start?
Just tell us your child’s grade and interests, and Adriana will personally suggest the right starting point.
